Application deadline has now passed. WMC's Progressive Women's Voices is the premier media and leadership training program for women in the country and is back in-person for the first time since 2019.

For more than ten years, Shanelle has helped social justice activists, organizations, and campaigns inspire action through storytelling and communications. From the Sierra Club, to the ACLU, to the Movement for Black Lives and Black Lives Matter Global Network, she’s worked alongside organizers, political influencers, and changemakers to break down complex issues and build narrative power.

Yumi Wilson is a tenured journalism professor at San Francisco State University. She is also a former news reporter and editor for the San Francisco Chronicle, the Associated Press, the San Jose Mercury News, the Modesto Bee and the now-defunct Los Angeles Herald Examiner. At the Women's Media Center, Yumi is the social media trainer, working with progressive leaders to establish their expertise.
