Bio

Lily Melody Bolourian is Executive Director of Pro-Choice Maryland.

She is an Iranian-American writer and organizer with 15 years of experience as an organizer around reproductive justice, immigration, police violence, imperialism, and climate issues. She has organized countless on-the-ground mobilizations, including the DC March for Science that brought out over 100,000 people. She has worked in direct abortion care throughout pregnancy, run political campaigns, and is an expert on Middle Eastern feminism and reproductive justice, abortion rights throughout pregnancy, and state violence.

Bolourian previously served as Senior Legislative Aide to Montgomery County Councilmember At-Large Will Jawando where she worked on education and public safety issues for the local government.

She has an MA in Health Law and Policy from Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law and is working on an MA to DBE in Bioethics and Health Policy at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
