Alyssa Burgart is an anesthesiologist and bioethicist at Stanford University. She received her medical degree and master's degree in bioethics and health policy from Loyola University Chicago. She completed her residency at Loyola University Chicago and a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Stanford Univerity. Her special anesthesiology expertise includes pediatric abdominal transplants (kidney, liver), gender-affirming care, and trauma-informed care for children. As a bioethicist, she specializes in pediatric ethics, disability, and reproductive health issues. Her work can be read in JAMA, The Washington Post, Slate, USA Today, and MedPage Today.
