Testimonials

"This is the best, most well structured media training experience that I've ever had. This is the indispensible "full package" of media preparation to last a lifetime."

Testimonials

"The Women's Media Center's training works! So, at the end of this week of back to back cross country trips, I found myself on a panel that was quickly getting away from me. Just when I began to panic, I heard a not so gentle voice reminding me to stick to my messages and pivot. I did and eventually helped steer the conversation. I couldn't have done it without you."

~ Dori Maynard, President Robert C. Maynard Institute for Journalism Education

media training workshops

Learn the most challenging media skill

Regardless of your field, learning how to present yourself on camera and in an interview situation is key to increasing your visibility and credibility. Stemming from our widely acclaimed Progressive Women's Voices training program -- which regularly receives 100-150 applications for each class of 10 -- The Women's Media Center has created a half-day media training that will teach the most challenging and sought-after media skill: interviewing for broadcast.

Our media trainers have over 20 years of experience that includes training hundreds of people, resulting in high-profile media hits at every major outlet, including The New York Times, CNN, NPR, People magazine, Business Week, the Today Show, the View, and thousands more. The 33 women we trained last year alone were in the media over 1200 times. The WMC's Emmy-winning President, Carol Jenkins, as well as other leading media experts will be teaching you the tricks of the trade and helping ensure that you deliver excellent information in the most compelling manner.

The Women's Media Center will be offering two more media trainings to the public in 2009.  These trainings will be held in our centrally located Manhattan office on West 25th Street from 11am-5pm on Friday, October 23rd and Friday November 13th, 2009. The cost is $499 per person. You will leave with the following:

•Training on all the preparation you will need for broadcast interviews

•Tips and techniques for creating compelling messages

•Practice delivering those messages on camera

•One on one attention and feedback on your performance

•Video for your review

The WMC is also available for personal, customizable one-on-one media trainings for a fee. For more information about signing up for one of our media trainings and pricing, please contact WMC Media Manager Rebekah Spicuglia, rebekah@womensmediacenter.com
