Pramila Jayapal is the founder and executive director of OneAmerica, a nonprofit organization based in Seattle, Washington, that advances the fundamental principles of democracy and justice by building power in immigrant communities. Born in India, she lived in India, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand prior to coming to the United States for college. She has spent more than 20 years working for social justice, both internationally and domestically.
