Kate Murphy is a former WMC intern and a senior at Fordham University in New York, where she is double-majoring in Journalism and Sociology. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the paper, Fordham University’s ad-free, censorship-free alternative newspaper, where she mainly writes about politics and social justice issues. She has also interned with Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting, a progressive media watch group, and the New York Botanical Garden’s editorial department. This past summer she was published nationally for the first time in Extra!, a monthly magazine of media criticism, and this November she will travel to Germany as a Fulbright Scholar for the Berlin Capital Program for young journalists.
