    I’m confused by one aspect of the story…you wrote

    “It expands the 1976 Hyde amendment, which outlaws abortion coverage by existing Federally funded programs, to middle class women participating in the public option, even if they pay from their own pocketbooks.”

    How can government outlaw coverage even if it’s paid out of a woman’s pocket–by kicking them out of the public option?
