This Friday, August 21, NYC radio institution “Health Styles” will be guest hosted by The Women’s Media Center! Airing on WBAI, New York’s public radio / Pacifica affiliate, “Health Styles” has been around for 25 years and is usually hosted by PWV alum Barbara Glickstein. This week’s show will be guest-hosted by WMC Media Director Tristin Aaron, see photo. The show will focus on current women’s issues within health care, including health care reform and maternal health, whether abstinence-only education is a cause for rising teen pregnancy rates, and the pending rape case in the NFL. Our guests will be Jennifer Block, author of “Pushed; The Painful Truth About Childbirth and Modern Maternity Care;” PWVer Jessica Valenti of Feministing, author of “The Purity Myth;” and PWVer Jaclyn Friedman of WAM!, co-editor of “Yes Means Yes!
