
Glenda Holste is a public affairs specialist for Education Minnesota, the statewide educators union. She previously worked as an editor, reporter and editorial page writer and columnist for daily newspapers. She covered or led a newspaper’s coverage of federal elections, Congress and the presidency for two decades. She is a past president of the Journalism & Women Symposium, an educational organization that supports the professional empowerment and personal growth of women in journalism and works toward a more accurate portrayal of the whole society. Holste holds a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and a master of arts degree in leadership from Augsburg College in Minneapolis. Her master’s research was on progressive women’s political leadership in the Minnesota House of Representative.
